Course Program and Category License
Category B Boat Skipper Course Program:
- Working with Nautical Charts
- Collision Avoidance Rules
- Marine Communications (Radio)
- Ropes and Knots
- Meteorology
With a Category B Boat Skipper License, you can operate:
- Boats and yachts for personal use and charter yachts without a crew up to 15 meters in length
- Propulsion systems of unlimited power (from the age of 18)
- You can carry up to 12 passengers
- You can navigate within navigation area III
The exam can be taken from the age of 16.
Course
On the course, you will receive:
- A Manual for Category B Boat Skippers – containing all theoretical content needed for the exam and safe navigation
- A Nautical Chart – for practicing chart work tasks
- Chart Work Tools
- Video Presentations – for chart work
The course is organized every Monday and Friday in afternoon or morning sessions, lasting five hours.
Location: Pomorska škola Zadar
Exam
Candidates must bring to the exam:
- 2 photographs (3.5 x 3 cm)
- ID card or driver's license
Exams are held every Wednesday or Friday at 3 PM in Lučkoj kapetaniji Zadar.
